This honey comes from the nectar of mountain flowers of a plant often referred to as sorb (or “Sawrab”, Arabic “صورب”) in the mountains of Ibb province in Yemen.
It is distinctive because of its near white / very light colour (unusual for honey) which is due to the colour of the nectar, environment and soil.
Because the area is remote and the plant sources limited, this kind of honey is not widely produced. The mountain is known as جبل العود (Jabal al-ʿAwd) in the Ibb Governorate of Yemen.
The taste profile is very unique its creamy thick milky fruity and tastes like halwa or condensed milk!! Extremely limited jars left and some of the finest batches we have got hold of. Do not confuse this honey with the White Russian honey this is much rarer!
